Chelsea 2019-20 4th Kit for 50th anniversary of FA Cup

Chelsea release ‘sexy’ new blue and gold fourth kit for 50th anniversary of FA Cup triumph and fans LOVE it

Chelsea's new special-edition kit was just officially revealed by the London club and Nike. Set to be worn in the third-round clash with Nottingham Forest in early Janaury, the Chelsea 19-20 fourth kit celebrates the 50th anniversary of the 1970 FA Cup triumph.

Releasing four kits is part of the Nike's plans to generate more revenue with its 'elite' teams like Chelesa, Barcelona or PSG.

Next April will mark 50-years since the Blues defeated Leeds that required two-legs with the second at Old Trafford.

The initial contest was played at Wembley where the two sides battled out a 2-2 draw after extra-time.

It was before penalties were introduced so they needed a second game in which David Webb grabbed a 104th-minute winner.

To mark the occasion the club have released a beautiful shirt which is a modern tweak based on the old classic.

A classic club badge - the same one used by the club when it won the FA CUp in 1970 - is used instead of the contemporary logo. it appears both on the left chest of the Chelsea 19-20 fourth cheap soccer jerseys as well as inside the back neck tape, which is golden.

The royal blue colour remains but the shirt sponsor and kit manufacturer is subtly on the design in the same tone.

The badge is a classy, slick design with subtle streaks of gold on the back of the shirt, shorts and socks.

Mason Mount was one of the players to model the design and he said: "It's a classy, stylish and sophisticated shirt - a great way of remembering the iconic team of 1970.

"We know fans of all ages are going to love its simple design."

A Chelsea statement added: "Chelsea FC will celebrate 50 years since our first FA Cup triumph in 1970 with an anniversary shirt commemorating an iconic moment in the Blues’ history."
